Cylindrical silencers
For reducing noise in ventilation systems, flow noise from volume flow controllers, or as a cross-talk silencer between adjacent rooms.
Based on the absorption-reaction principle, consisting of a perforated damping tube built into a folded cylindrical casing with protruding round connecting spigots.
Casing and connecting spigots made of galvanised sheet steel. The absorption material is non-combustible, hygienically safe and ageing-resistant mineral fibre (inert to fungal and bacterial growth). The active surfaces are covered with glass silk and, where required, with a galvanised perforated sheet as abrasion protection (up to air velocities of 20 m/s).
Tube silencers of types SDZ and SDZK with a packing thickness from 25 mm are supplied as standard in galvanised sheet steel, and optionally in stainless steel or aluminium.
Flexible tube silencers of type SDZF with a packing thickness of 25 mm or 50 mm are available in aluminium. Special designs on request
- Non-combustible according to building material class A1 – DIN EN 13501-1
- Hygiene requirements according to VDI 6022, Sheet 1
