Since 1964, the Akustik Buch group of companies has stood for innovative, reliable and tailor-made solutions in the fields of acoustics, sound and vibration control, building physics and ventilation technology. What began as a small family business founded by DI Nikolaus Buch has grown into an internationally active group of companies with strong regional roots, now managed by the second generation.
Our aim is to support our customers comprehensively – from initial consulting through technical planning and project development to manufacturing, installation and turnkey implementation. In doing so, we combine decades of experience and sound technical expertise with innovation, flexibility and personal commitment.
Thanks to the close cooperation between our companies and the pooling of their respective specialist skills, we can offer services in acoustics, sound insulation, building physics, technical physics, ventilation technology and plant engineering from a single source. Our range of services extends from acoustic system planning and building physics project development to expert reports for authorities – including energy performance certificates – and the implementation of individual measures or complete projects.
Today, the group comprises Akustik Buch GmbH, Akustik Buch Engineering GmbH and SpiroKlima GmbH, with office, warehouse and production space in Korneuburg. The group is complemented by the production sites Unimax Hungaria Legtechnika zRt. and Tonus Kft. in Hungary.
Akustik Buch GmbH – Consulting, Measurement Technology and Technical Planning
Akustik Buch GmbH is a central area of expertise within the group. Its focus is on acoustic consulting and planning, measurement technology, noise control assessments, room acoustics, building physics services and vibration isolation.
Our services include, among others:
- Acoustic measurements, analyses and expert reports
- Room acoustic planning and optimization
- Building physics investigations and technical consulting
- Active and passive elastic mounting on vibration isolators
- Vibration isolation and insulation of machinery and equipment, such as fans, motors and turbines
- Vibration isolation of measurement rooms and entire buildings
As an essential partner within the group, Akustik Buch GmbH works closely with the other business units. This allows technical requirements to be taken into account right from the planning stage and efficiently translated into tailor-made solutions.
Akustik Buch Engineering – From Design to Turnkey Implementation
Akustik Buch Engineering GmbH combines engineering with in-house manufacturing and installation. The company develops, produces and installs components and systems for noise control – from individual building elements to complex industrial plants and specially equipped measurement rooms.
As an experienced domestic provider of noise control solutions, we offer a versatile product range that includes, among others:
- Sound insulation and sound damping
- Silencers for ventilation and air conditioning systems as well as road tunnels
- Industrial silencers for internal combustion engines and gas turbines
- Sound-insulating enclosures and casings for machinery
- Noise reduction through sound-absorbing room linings
- Structure-borne sound insulation in plant engineering and sheet steel structures
- Special constructions and individual custom-made products
- Supply and turnkey installation of equipment for acoustic measurement rooms, including anechoic chambers
The components required for the ventilation industry, as well as numerous elements for sound and vibration control, are manufactured in our own production facilities in Hungary. The combination of planning, design, manufacturing and installation enables us to carry out even complex projects efficiently, flexibly and to a high standard of quality.

This approach is particularly evident in custom-engineered products and technically demanding projects. Examples include silencers for high-temperature applications, acid-resistant and seawater-resistant silencer designs, underwater silencers, and special noise control solutions for mobile industrial plants. Our exceptional projects include, among others, the sound insulation of a mobile natural gas drilling rig and the sound-insulating enclosure of a floating dredger on the Drau River in Carinthia.
