Building physics
In the field of building physics, we provide consulting for our clients on sound, thermal, and moisture protection, including all necessary calculations.

Submissions
The content of building physics calculations for permit applications depends on the type of building, its usage profile, and the federal state in which the submission is made.
The following services may be included in the preparation of the building physics submission:
Energy performance certificate
Proof of U-values
Summer thermal protection
Moisture protection
Airborne sound insulation
Impact sound insulation
Building Physics Optimization
OI3 assessment in accordance with the OI3 guideline

Thermal and moisture protection
Winter thermal protection includes all measures aimed at preventing transmission and ventilation heat losses. Transmission heat loss refers to the portion of heat that escapes primarily through the thermal conduction of building components, while ventilation heat loss refers to the heat lost due to air exchange between warm indoor air and cold outdoor air.
From the perspective of damage-free design, the goal is to avoid condensation on interior surfaces and within building components. Verifying sufficiently high surface temperatures on interior surfaces — especially at critical points such as thermal bridges at component edges or adjoining structural elements — is essential and cannot be omitted.
Thermal bridge calculation
Modern building structures consist of a wide variety of construction materials. The correct arrangement and combination of these materials are essential for a functional building. Improper use of building materials can lead to various types of structural damage. One critical issue in construction is thermal bridges. These are localized disruptions in otherwise continuous building components that separate areas with different temperatures. Such disruptions cause deviations in the normal course of isotherms.
Precise two- and three-dimensional thermal bridge calculations using AnTherm® software allow for a detailed analysis of temperature distribution at corner points of the structure — for all types of buildings.

Measurement technology
To measure various acoustic parameters and sound levels, we use state-of-the-art, calibrated measuring equipment. Additionally, we utilize modern software tools to perform a wide range of simulations and forecasts.
Among other equipment, we use various calibrated sound level meters from Norsonic, and for building acoustics measurements we employ dodecahedron loudspeakers and a standard tapping machine. Room acoustic measurements are conducted using either the MLS measurement method or the impulse response method, with all relevant parameters evaluated directly.
For the precise evaluation of different acoustic and building acoustic measurements — or for forecasting and calculating key quality indicators, parameters, and sound levels — we rely on a broad selection of software programs, including:
SoundPLAN
BASTIAN®
CATT-AcousticTM
AnTherm®
In-house silencer calculation program
Various analysis tools
This comprehensive selection of measurement equipment and software solutions enables us to guarantee accurate and detailed results.
